Stainless Steel

Stainless steel brackets are the most commonly used type of braces. They are effective, durable and economical. The stainless steel brackets we use are made of a high-grade stainless steel. They are bonded on to the teeth. A fluoride infused super strength bonding agent is used to  continuously treat the teeth with fluoride during the length of treatment.
Stainless steel wires are used with the brackets.

Ceramic, Porcelain or Plastic

Clear ceramic braces are made of translucent (clear) material. Ceramic braces are most popular with adult patients. Ceramic braces are fragile and they are not recommended for those playing contact sports.

Elastic ties used with ceramic braces may become discoloured due to coloring in foods and drinks. Also, ceramic braces may take up to six months longer than treatment with stainless steel braces.

Clear or invisible aligners are computer generated templates that gradually move the teeth to their desired position. The most common type of clear aligner is known as Invisalign®.

Another type of clear appliance is ClearCorrect.

This type of treatment is available for children and adults.
